The Chamber Singers of Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges will present a special concert at West End Synagogue, 190 Amsterdam Avenue at 69th Street in Manhattan (NYC). The program will feature Wilbye's madrigal "Draw on, sweet night," Vaughan Williams "Three Shakespeare Songs," recently composed works by Kile Smith and Thomas Lloyd, a set of five songs from the Jewish tradition ranging from Hans Gal's setting of "To Sleep" to David Botwinik's Yiddish setting of "Kum Yeshayes Kholem," and a selection of African American Spirituals. Open to the public without tickets or charge.
